Jay-Z and Eminem surprised the Detroit fans that attended the first of their two MLB stadium shows in the city. Dr. Dre, Drake, 50 Cent, G-unit and others all took their turn getting the crowd into the show. B.o.B. opened the show for Eminem and Jay-Z but the special appearances were the talk of the night. As expected, Eminem brought out D12 but Drake was the key surprise during his set. “I’m so honored to be here to tonight. This is history in the making. I want y’all to make some noise for the muthaf*cking legend that is Emimem.” Jay-Z brought out Yooung Jeezy and even honored the Notorious B.I.G. and payed his respects to Proof, formerly of D12.

T.I. and Tiny have been all over the headlines, after their highly-publicized arrest, and now they are getting legal advice from some unusual sources as everybody feels the need to contribute their 2 cents to the situation. 50 Cent had even offered were offered legal his legal advice to the couple. 50 Cent is urging Tameka “Tiny” Cottle to take the charges for her new husband Clifford “T.I.” Harris. Not only is T.I. a convicted felon, but he is on probation following his stint in prison for weapons possession, and a violation would mean certain jail time for the star. 50 posted on Twitter: “Man TI and tiny done got picked up agin (sic) for methamphetamines and ecstacy (sic) dam man (sic). Tiny gotta take that charge. Say it was yours Baby.”

Snoop Dogg recently revealed that he’s ready to return to the studio with Katy Perry, coincidentally this comes just after she managed to knock Eminem out of his number one spot on the Billboard 200. Snoop Dogg and Katy Perry collaborated on 2009’s “California Gurls,” which enjoyed the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year. Snoop just recently announced that he and Swizz Beatz are already hard at work on his Doggystyle 2 album, now he wants to make sure Katy Perry is a part of the upcoming project. We’re trying to get together and do something on my new album for my new record, so (I’m) definitely in contact with her…She’s a sweet girl and I had fun making the record with her… Like I said, I’m looking forward to her being on my record as well. My sound is just fun, good music. My music has always been about me having a good time, people feeling good, that’s what I’m looking for.”

T.I. and Rick Ross took it back to the streets on “Pledge Allegiance To The Swag,” the next single for King Uncaged. T.I. also vowed to return to the grassroots days of old, with his grassroots marketing of the new single, by promoting it in the clubs before it ever goes to radio. Young Buck, former member of G-Unit, has filed for bankruptcy while maintaining that he isn’t anywhere near broke. In fact, Young Buck listed over $5 million in assets in the Chapter 13 paperwork. Filing bankruptcy is the first step towards gaining control of his financial situation and his music career according to Young Buck. Not only will he have his property returned, the I.R.S. raided his Tennessee home, but Young Buck will also be given 5 years to repay his debt to Uncle Sam under his Chapter 13 agreement. “I have to get my finances back in order and deal with the contract situations I was in. Now I have a clean slate and full control over my own life and career.”

Jay-Z recently discussed his and wife Beyonce’s newfound BFFs Coldplay’s Chris Martin and his Hollywood superstar wife Gwyneth Paltrow in an interview. Jay-Z, Beyonce, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Chris Martin have been spending a lot of time hanging out together behind the scenes and in the public eye. Most recently , the couples were spotted hanging out in the Hamptons, but the two couples are close and have been spotted hanging out on both sides of the Atlantic. IN the recent interview Jay-Z also talked about how he would have felt toward Chris Martin in his past as a youth growing up in Brooklyn’s Marcy public housing projects. “That’s a different scenario…He couldn’t walk through Marcy. I was a different person then. I wasn’t open to the world and to cultures. I would have been, ‘Yo! Who are you? Give me your money,’” Jay-Z said. “You couldn’t have a guy like Chris walking through Marcy. He’d have to get robbed. At best.”

T.I., Chris Brown and the all-star cast of Takers has helped the film gain the number 2 spot at the box office on its opening weekend. Takers, the highly anticipated film starring Michael Ealy, Idris Elba, Paul Walker, Hayden Christensen, Matt Dillon, Jay Hernandez, and Zoe Saldana, was second only to the new Exorcist film, The Last Exorcism, in its opening weekend in theaters. Takers cost $32 million to produce and earned $23 million in its first weekend, slightly losing to the horror film, The Last Exorcism, which earned an estimated $21.3 million. T.I. spoke about the comparisons, the public and the media have made between Takers and Oceans 11, in a recent interview. “The storyline is a lot edgier. It has so many different dynamics. There are so many stories within the stories. With these characters, you get a little bit more back-story. And we’re younger and better looking.”

Lil Wayne, the front man for Young Money, will be busy as soon as he sets foot outside of Rikers Island and will be forced to hit the ground running. Not only will Lil Wayne be performing a Welcome Home Weezy show, at an undisclosed location, on the day of his release, Lil Wayne will also be releasing his Tha Carter IV album on the same day. Mac Maine confirmed in a recent interview that Lil Wane may indeed release 3 albums in 2010. Rebirth was released in Februrary before Lil Wayne went away, and a 10-song digital album titled I Am Not A Human Being will be released on Weezy’s September 27th birthday. With the release of Tha Carter IV on Weezy’s November 5th release from Rikers, Wayne could possibly sell more albums than Eminem in 2010. Mac Maine discussed possible locations for the secret welcome home show and more in the interview. “I think the [Madison Square] Garden would be perfect. I wanna keep it Young Money. I think we can hold our own. As far as his set, it would be nice to have features and cameos on his set. As far as who opens for him, it’ll be a no-brainer, Young Money could hold it down. Just have the big features on Wayne’s set. He’s gonna have a show, then go to the studio. For him, it’s no telling how that week would go, how that month would go. Five months [would go]. We’re gonna party like when Frank came home in ‘King of New York.’ We’re gonna go crazy.”
